NEW PAUL PENDERS WEBSITE IS COMING SOON
Paul Penders will soon launch a new international website featuring product details, company news and more...
While the website will maintain the brand's fresh appearance and herbal heritage, it will include a new look, particularly for Paul Penders spokeswoman Katja Penders. Katja, the daughter of founder Paul Penders and a marketing manager for the company, is currently featured as the naturally beautiful face of Paul Penders. Katja will continue to represent the products, now with a more updated and modern look. The photo shows a recent session at which makeup artists prepared Katja for a photo shoot.

WHALESHARKS IN LANGKAWI
Langkawi has long been known as an untamed paradise, lush with thousands of varieties of flora and fauna not seen elsewhere. Recently, five whalesharks measuring more than 30 feet long were seen off the island's coast.
'We went boating around the rainforest islands and we spotted at least five whalesharks! What an amazing experience!!!! We spent about 2 hours with them. The whalesharks were much bigger than our boat! They swam underneath the boat, all around us, and gave us a real show,'says Naylene Vuurens of Tropical Charters, a local boating enterprise. A member of the shark family, the whaleshark is the largest living species of fish. It is found in tropical and warm oceans and lives in the open sea and can live for about 70 years. The species is believed to have originated about 60 million years ago. Although whale sharks have very large mouths, they feed mainly on plankton, microscopic plants and animals, and are just one of only three known shark species to do so.
Despite their huge size, whalesharks do not pose any significant danger to humans. As Naylene found, they are actually quite gentle and can even be playful with divers and snorkelers.
Because they are considered vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), fishing of whalesharks has been banned in several countries including the Philippines, India and Taiwan.

PAUL PENDERS KEEPS UP WITH LATEST TECHNOLOGIES
Paul Penders isn't just resting on its laurels! We want to make sure we keep up with the latest trends and technologies in skin care and organic products.
To that end, we will be visiting SupplySide West show in Las Vegas on November 15, the world's largest event for healthy and innovative ingredients. The show features hundreds of exhibitors showcasing thousands of ingredients, an unmatched education program and extensive networking opportunities. SupplySide West is a must-attend event for developers and marketers of foods, beverages, dietary supplements and cosmeceuticals worldwide.
Four members of the Paul Penders company also recently visited In-Cosmetics, the largest trade show in Asia for personal care ingredients. To read more about the show, click here.
Later this year, Paul Penders will have its own booth at Menopa 2009, a major natural health show in Dubai. Menopa is a professional tradeshow for health professionals from over 35 countries. Many major companies from America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East will also have booths at the show.

THE POWER OF THE COCONUT
Coconut milk is a sweet, milky white cooking base extracted from the flesh of a mature coconut. The milk's color and rich taste can be attributed to the high level of oil and sugars. Coconut milk is not only widely used in many tropical cuisines, but also in hair remedies.
In Asian countries, coconut is known as the king of hair products. Like Malaysians, Indians use coconut milk as an effective hair conditioner either alone or mixed with essential oils or flowers. Malaysia's national flower, the hibiscus' petals and leaves are traditionally boiled and added to coconut milk for application to the hair.
Coconut water, the clear liquid at the center of a young coconut, also has many beneficial properties and for thousands of years, has been used for medical and cosmetic purposes throughout Southeast Asia. For example, women in Langkawi have used fresh coconut water to cleanse their faces and coconut fruit in moisturizers that keep them looking youthful for generations.
Coconut water is now known to be rich in lipids, lauric acid and glucids as well as vitamins, nutrients and minerals. These ingredients help to regenerate, revitalize, moisturize and soften the skin.
Since early 2009, all Paul Penders hair, skin and body care products are made with coconut water.
