Congratulations to
our professional distribution company in Latvia with their brand new
Paul Penders website design!
With
a new and fresh look, as well as completely new pictures of our
spokesmodel, Katja Penders, the website presents our products in a
fresh, stylish and very attractive way.
As it represents The
Baltics, the website is available in all three Baltic languages of
Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian, as well as Russian, simply by
clicking on the appropriate flag in the upper right hand corner.
They
are the first of many Paul Penders distributors to adapt to our new
corporate image on the web. Later, all Paul Penders distributors will
have a similar company style website in their respective languages.
Next in line is Australia (it is nearly ready), and then The
Netherlands.
Starting this week, says Baltic distributor Agate
Jurkovska Kanca, there will be advertisements and banners on the
Internet. She is also receiving compliments from other webs shops.
The website design was developed by Paul Penders’ web partners, Redbox
Studio.

HERBAL POWER PARSLEY AND PEGAGA
Herbs
have long been known to have beneficial effects on the body. Two of the
most powerful are parsley and pegaga, which provide both medicinal as
well as beauty benefits.
Parsley is particularly effective in cleansing the kidneys.
The
function of the kidneys is to filter the blood by removing salt, poison
and other unwanted substances in the body. The older we get, the more
salts and other debris accumulate in the kidneys, so that cleansing
treatments become more important.
This is easy to do with
parsley. Simply wash a medium-sized bunch of parsley, cut it into small
pieces and put it in a pot. Pour clean water onto the parsley and boil
it for ten minutes. Let it cool, then filter the liquid, pour it into a
clean bottle and store it in your refrigerator. With a daily glass of
this parsley drink, salts and other accumulated, unwanted residues will
leave your body while urinating. That will result in cleaner kidneys,
which, in turn, will leave your skin more healthy looking.
Pegaga is a member of the parsley family that, when used orally or
topically, causes a chain of beneficial effects in the body.
Consumed
raw in salads or side dishes, pegaga provides a rich source of vitamin
K, magnesium and calcium that helps alleviate fatigue and reduces the
effects of depression and insomnia. Because it increases brain
function, the herb improves memory and concentration. Pegaga also
improves circulation, strengthening veins and capillaries, reducing
vascular inflammation, improving wound healing, and supporting the
heart, liver and kidneys. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of
colds and respiratory problems, strengthen the immune system, and treat
leprosy.
Dr. Abdul Ghani, a Langkawi-based medical practitioner
and researcher in Malay and Arab medical manuscripts, notes that many
people in Asia also drink pegaga juice as a means to boost their mental
and physical wellbeing. Although clinical studies have not been
conducted to verify its effects, people taking pegaga, he says, claim
to experience improved memory and better health.
Applied

ORGANIC CHEATERS EXPOSED AT WEST COAST TRADE SHOW
The
following is the beginning of an article from the Organic Consumers
Association's web site about the Expo West Natural Products Trade Show.
It is written by Mike Adams.The Organic Consumers Association has long fought against what it calls organic cheater brands – personal care products that use the name organic in the product name or brand, yet are not truly organic products at all.
This year at the Expo West Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California, the OCA staged a very visible public protest to expose what it calls sham poo products that are organic cheaters.
The protest was part of the OCA’s Coming Clean Campaign which continues to expose dishonest or misleading products in the skin care industry.
Due in large part to the OCA’s efforts, Whole Foods now says it will enforce honest labeling by taking a closer look at the word organic on personal care products. Whole Foods is the largest chain of natural foods and health products with more than 270 stores in the U.S. and U.K.

CHEMICALS IN NEW CLOTHES CAN BE DANGEROUS.
New fabrics can contain leftover chemicals and other substances which are added during processing. In fact, both natural and synthetic fibers are normally treated with chemicals during the processing. Later, when the fabrics are bleached or colored, more chemicals are used to avoid shrinking and creasing.
Textiles, which can contain many dangerous chemicals, and are meant to be worn on – and cover – the body can seemingly without problems contain toxic chemicals. These chemicals can easily enter the blood stream; even to a greater extend than cosmetics containing chemicals, because the clothes cover a large part of the body. A hot a humid climate worsens the problem.
Unfortunately, the same strict laws and regulations that apply to manufacturers of natural cosmetics and other products do not apply to producers of textiles and clothing.
To reduce the risk of harmful chemicals entering your body from new clothing, avoid buying clothes which smell of chemicals, or have a scent of perfume. The scent may have been added to mask the smell of chemicals. Then before wearing new clothes, wash them once or twice along with other laundry. This will remove most of the unwanted chemicals.
