Eurowoman is one of Denmark’s oldest fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazines.

In the latest issue they have tested Paul Penders Plantago Essential Eye Gel.

The test can be read here, but for those of us who don’t speak Danish, we have had the text translated into English.

The picture of Plantago Essential Eye Gel is from the article; we will leave out further pictures today, as the text speaks for itself.

Yes, it is a very, very good review.

Test: Natural Organic Eye Gel

WRITTEN BY Julie Brandt, 08.26.2009

Are you missing the perfect natural organic eye gel, which can help you get rid of the dark circles, small wrinkles, and swollen eyes?

– Then the natural organic brand Paul Penders might be something for you.

The Dutch-American Paul Penders, who is a dedicated environmental activist, has – since he took over the family run company – solely been producing natural organic skin and hair care products. Among his delicious products, he has developed the eye gel Plantago Essential eye gel, which is full of natural organic herbs and is not tested on animals.

Plantago Essential Eye Gel

Eurowoman’s beauty assistant Julie, has tested the gel:

“The gel comes in a little, white tube, only decorated with the green Paul Penders-logo and the name of the product. It is obvious it is the content which is the essential in the company’s products, a fact they are not hiding. It is on the natural organic ingredients and their effect on the skin Paul Penders has his focus – not on fancy packaging.

The gel is very light and economical in use. It has a wonderful fragrance of forest and herbs, and a clear, white colour. The natural fragrance makes you really marvel at how nice it is to use a product without any chemical ingredients, which is a quality I really like. I use the gel under and around the eyes and the cooling gel is absorbed fast by the skin.

After using the eye gel for a week, applying it every morning, I believe the areas around my eyes have become much finer and with less dark circles. I have not had to use my concealer as much as I used to and that is definitely a plus. The Plantago plant, which comes from the rain forest, has together with the other natural organic herbs helped me getting rid of my “tired eyes” and I can therefore warmly recommend Paul Pender’s very delicate eye gel.”

Goodwill International Visits Paul Penders

The recent couple of weeks have been busy at the headquarters of Paul Penders, here on Langkawi – the only UNESCO Geopark in South-East Asia.

Hardly a day has gone by without having visitors from all over the world.

This time, we are happy to be able to tell about a very special visit we had from Vietnam.

Rico Ch’ng and her partners Kit Wong and Wong Wai Peng are from Goodwill International.

Their business is based in Vietnam, as well as they are doing business in a few other Asian countries.

Their holistic businesses include no less than body, mind & soul treatments in spas. These treatments are combined with yoga and fruit therapies.

Besides this, they also sell high quality interior products, such as special furniture – and they are even doing fashion designs as well!

During their visit, product ideas were discussed. Goodwill International is in contact with a great, certified organic, essential oil grower and producer in France, which might be of interest to Paul Penders.

CEO Paul Penders says: “I would like to express my gratitude to the these ladies from Goodwill International who came all the way from Vietnam to pay us a visit.”

I wish for you to be successful in every way with the exciting plans, you told me about,” says Paul Penders.

The Finishing Touches For Women’s Confidence

Make-up (Image by Matthew Bowden)Some people believe that applying make-up is a basic manner for women, especially in this era when women are developing their true talents and skills in various fields. Therefore, a healthy and beautiful image is essential to boost a woman’s confidence.

Liu Le Yi, a DJ who works for one of Malaysia’s Chinese radio stations, 988 fm, is one of the believers. From her first job at a finance company to a radio DJ, Liu Le Yi is now managing her own boutique shop “Dress Up”, these years of working experiences have allowed Miss Liu to master the make-up techniques that are suitable for her to keep herself looking beautiful and radiant.

Liu Le Yi (Source: http://fangchongwei.blogspot.com/2007/06/blog-post_8004.html)Like many other females, Miss Liu likes to beautify herself before going out and make-up is a must for her. She said that even a simple make-up make her skin shines and appears radiant.

Miss Liu believes that women should retain in their best condition to give themselves some self-respect. “A person’s outlook is not only like her own label, it also reflects how you view yourself. In the fashion industry, presenting yourself in an appealing image helps to promote business with little effort.”

Before leaving the house everyday, Miss Liu spends about half an hour to get ready, apply make-up and get dressed. When she runs out of time, she will not fix her hair. “But applying foundation, lipstick, blusher and mascara essential although there’s time limitation. Most importantly, I want to look good, clean and neat.” she said.

Status on the Cosmetic Market

chartA recent report on the cosmetic industry market from Fitch Inc. describes how the economical crisis has lead to a big downturn in the luxury market for personal care products.

Consumers shopping patterns have shifted away from premium brands to more affordable, mass market products.

This becomes evident when studying the latest financial results from some of the biggest market players, like Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and Revlon. They have all been announcing big drops in turnover.

This indicates more and more consumers turn away from luxury cosmetic products.

Rescue Blemish AwayBut, when it comes to organic products, the report mentions growth in organic cosmetics sales during the first half of 2009.

Further on, the report predicts that overall, the market for personal care products will slow in the coming time.

Interestingly, this slowdown is not expected to happen to organic cosmetics – and Paul Penders products are in the organic cosmetics market.

This was a short summary of the reports conclusions and predictions for the cosmetic market.

GrowthWhen it comes to Paul Penders, we are pleased and happy to be able to announce an increasing growth in sales during 2009.

We have experienced a growth and turnover, exceeding our most optimistic expectations.

We expect this trend to continue during the remaining part of this year.
