Did I ever tell you before how I got to know all these friends of mine in all kinds of countries? I don’t believe I did.
Before I settled down, got married and children I used to travel a lot. That already started when I was in college. I spent some time in Europe as an exchange student. After that I went back many times for my job as a wine merchant. As you will know, Europe is still the heart of wine production in the world. France obviously, but also Italy, Spain and Germany. I was always looking for fine wines for my company to buy and sell. That is how I got to know another of my friends that this story is about.
Aziza lives in Dortmund, being married to a German man called Manfred, but she actually comes from Malaysia. From Dortmund to the Southwest of Germany there are large wine estates, one of them being owned by Aziza and her husband. They produce a very fine white wine that I immediately decided to buy for my company.
As it turned out, Aziza and I got along really well so I went back as often as I possibly could. I was there when her daughter Sophie was born!
Sophie is now 5 years old and well aware of her background. One evening Aziza, keeping her Asian heritage alive, had died Sophie’s hands with henna. Something very common in Asian and Arabian culture, but not that much in Germany.
When Sophie went to school next day naturally her girlfriends asked about the painting on her hands, so Sophie explained to them it was henna. Her girlfriends, completely astonished all shouted out: What? Were they done by Hannah Montana? They all wanted to meet her and Sophie had to ask Aziza for help to explain she did NOT know Hannah Montana, but that she does know henna and how to dye hands with it.
After the girls had overcome their disappointment of not getting to meet Hannah Montana, they all went to school the next day with a beautiful henna painting on their hands.
Hi, do you remember me? Let me introduce myself.
My name is Brenda and I am a big fan of Paul Penders cosmetics. I got into contact with the brand first through the excellent quality of the products and later on I was triggered with the passion and commitment I experienced with this small company.
I was caught by the themes as I read the website and blog of Paul Penders. I became very interested in the original ideas and how to deal (practical) with natural cosmetics. Afterwards I got in contact with the people behind the company. And by getting to know them better, I was taken by the vibes and motivation of the people who work inside to do the best as they can with a good conscience.
So, as mentioned, I got very excited about the Paul Penders brand, after I got knowledge of the products themselves.
These are, without any exception, the best natural cosmetics products I have ever experienced in my life! And as I am very sceptical of using new products on my skin, it took me a while before I got convinced about the quality and their effectiveness to my skin conditions. I will not reveal my age, but I need a bit of extra care in order to get a soft and flawless skin with the guarantee of smoothing my thin lines around the eyes.
Time went by and I got more and more excited by the quality of the products of Paul Penders, and I was so enthusiast that I told my friends about my experiences. I must say, it was not difficult to convince them about the qualities of the Paul Penders products, because they could see the results themselves.
As we were very thrilled about the quality and effectiveness of Paul Penders products and we discussed together some of the themes in the blog, we contacted the Paul Penders company to tell about our experiences. And we found out, the founder of the brand himself, Paul Penders was very happy to talk to satisfied customers as well!
So he asked us to write for the blog and share some of the experiences of our lives. And we decided to do so. But, we decided to write about ourselves and our experiences on different subjects in a narrative way. Sometimes we add cosmetics in it, sometimes we just write for fun and share even our most silly memories. Perhaps you have the same experiences as we do, but moreover we hope you will have fun to read and share your thoughts as well.
Brenda’s friends are short stories of experiences of modern women. As Brenda is entirely made up by the writer, notice that she and her friends do not really exist! Thus people and stories are fiction. We hope you get an insight in our thoughts and values in life. Sometimes serious, sometimes just funny. Enjoy and we hope you get good understanding about Brenda’s approach to life!
Some of our fine customers who appreciate high quality cosmetics live in the beautiful country of the rising sun. For several years, Japan was a large market for Paul Penders natural cosmetic products.
Part of the promotion for Paul Penders products in Japan was live television and although I don’t speak Japanese myself, I occasionally make guest appearances. This is pure fun!
On one show, Dr. Schwartz was invited as guest all the way from Northeast USA. On television he discussed his involvement with Paul Penders when he still studied medicine at Stanford University in California, where a “think-tank” included the study of psoriasis. Dr. Schwartz, himself, suffers from this skin disorder.
Through a rather unusual situation in life, we became connected and remain friends to this day. We are discussing the possibility of an active involvement and role for Dr. Schwartz at Paul Penders for further research in combating psoriasis with natural materials and healing methods.
Friends of Andrew appreciate his friendliness, his hilarious jokes, his deep involvement in all that he undertakes, his commitment and love for nature combined with a down-to-earth lifestyle. Andrew and I share not only an interest in natural cosmetic ingredients but in sailing and classical music as well. When he visits me he enjoys the classical music heard throughout our offices all-day long.
We enjoyed a great live-show on a Sunday afternoon in Tokyo, seen by millions of Japanese. I am proud of our friendship with Dr. Schwartz and look forward to a time in the future where we may hopefully improve the lifes of those suffering from psoriasis. Thanks Andrew for being Dr. Schwartz and a great friend.
